View larger. | The Game Join John, Paul, George and Ringo on-stage at legendary shows, behind closed doors in the recording studio, and in dreamscapes that bring the psychedelic imagery of the latter stage of their career to life. The acclaimed Rock Band elements of interactive play and full-band capacity are here as well, but with brand-new additions. One of these is full three-part harmonies, which challenge you to recreate The Beatles’ vocal blend a first for any music game and facilitated by the game's support for up to three microphone controllers. In addition, the game supports custom-built controllers modeled after the actual instruments that the Fab Four played, and eventually helped to make iconic, audio straight from the masters and graphics that take you on a magical tour through the key moments in The Beatles history. Produced with the full cooperation of The Beatles and Apple Corps, the game is packed with hidden fab extras that will push you and up to five of your friends to master the songs both online and offline in order to hear rare audio and view unseen photos from the archives. The Song List The Beatles were one of the most prolific bands of all time, churning out memorable hit after hit and this is reflected in the song list of The Beatles: Rock Band. way too short (like their career) but amazing March 3, 2010 Adam Porter (Utah, USA) The title of my review just about sums up the game. I've finished the entire single player experience in under 6 hours but I didn't want to put down the guitar either. This game is a blast to play, but if you're expecting any sort of challenge, there is none, except in the Chapter Challenges where you're required to play through every song in each Chapter.
What the songs lack in complexity though the game compensates for with absolutely stunning visuals (I caught myself just staring a few times and missing notes) and fun "prizes" for completing certain tasks. The Xbox achievements aren't always so straight-forward either, but that just adds to the fun. I haven't played on Live or any other multi-player yet as I just got the game yesterday, but I'm sure to spend quite a bit more time on that.
If you're a Beatles fan you should definitely pick up this game. If you're looking to buy it because it has the Rock Band moniker you may be a little disappointed, Rock Band 2 is a better overall game with much more depth.
Beatles it's all good February 12, 2010 Donna Mertens The Beatles Rock Band game is too much fun; I play it with my 18 year old son. I sing; he plays drums. I dance; this is a good aerobic workout. Singing, exercising, bonding with my son - what's not to like? This is my first X Box 360 game; I love it.
Misleading production February 11, 2010 Edson J. Leite (Homestead, FL) 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
It is just crazy what these guys who produced this game did to customers who bought it and also purchased (or have)the XBox 360 Elite -as it happened to me. For if you go by the information on the game box they just say that almost any mic would work with the game, but the real nightmare begins when you open the box and the game booklet says bluntly that it will work with almost any mic, BUT the XBox 360 Elite headseat! So I ended up with a game that I cannot play, unless I buy a proper mic to do it.
Great fun for our family! February 5, 2010 MARY TERNES (Cleveland OH USA) We really enjoyed playing this game on the xbox 360. The graphics are great! My kids are older (19 and 22) but were not really familiar with the Beatles, but now they love the songs, and after seeing pictures of the fab 4 elsewhere, claim that they really look like them! Too bad my 19 year old took his xbox back to college with him, otherwise hubby and I would play all the time.
Very fun January 28, 2010 Branden R. Russell I don't like The Beatles, but my wife does. So we got this game. Even though I don't like their music, this game is still a lot of fun and is very well done. By far the best Rock Band game. All the visuals and the flow of the game really make it great.
